What is Shopify?

What is it?

Shopify is a web application that allows you to create an E-commerce online store. 

The premise is that the prebuilt nature enables beginners to build an online store themselves without the need for code, primarily through the offering of fully responsive prebuilt themes. That said, the platform also serves developers by providing access to the CSS, HTML and the Liquid code (which is Shopify’s template language for context).

Above and beyond this, Shopify provides a hosted solution, running its own servers. You can customise sites through the use of either code/apps. 

It provides a built in payment system (Shopify Payments) that does not have any transaction fees.

In conclusion, it is a straightforward interface with a good user experience. Which to me, make’s it a no brainer for E-commerce businesses.
